The solar pumping system consists of a solar pumping inverter, pump, and PV array. Storing water is more efficient than storing electricity; therefore, the system is designed to directly drive the pump without batteries, effectively reducing construction, operating costs, and routine maintenance.

The solar pumping inverter controls the entire system's operation, driving the pump by converting DC power produced by the PV array to AC power. This inverter adjusts output frequency according to solar irradiation intensity in real-time to implement Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT).
